Payment infrastructure & fintech advisory

The payment stack behind your product.

NEXT builds the technology payment businesses run on — orchestration, billing, card and crypto processing, white-label PSP, wallet and payroll platforms — and runs the operational side of it alongside your team.

Modular by design — take the whole stack or the one piece you are missing.

Orchestration
One layer in front of every provider: routing by cost, geography and approval rate, with automatic retries.
Card processing
E-commerce card processing on PCI DSS Level 1 certified infrastructure.
Crypto payments
Deposits, withdrawals and exchange in stablecoins and major alternative coins.
White-label
Launch a payment service provider, digital wallet or payroll service under your own brand.
Advisory & operations
Not only advice — we can run the payment back office day to day with your team.
Platform

Technology for payment businesses

A set of composable products that cover the full path of a transaction — from the checkout your customer sees to the settlement your finance team reconciles. Deploy them together as a platform, or plug a single module into what you already run.

Payment orchestration

One integration in front of many providers. Routing by cost, geography and approval rate, a second automatic attempt through another provider when a payment is declined, and instant switching when an acquirer stops performing.

  • Smart routing
  • Cascading
  • Provider switching

Billing platform

Subscriptions, one-off charges, usage-based pricing, trials and upgrades — with invoicing, automatic retries and payment reminders that recover failed renewals instead of quietly losing them.

  • Subscriptions
  • Invoicing
  • Automatic retries

Card processing engine

A processing core for e-commerce card payments — authorisations, captures, refunds, 3-D Secure, tokenisation and recurring credentials — running on PCI DSS Level 1 certified infrastructure.

  • PCI DSS Level 1
  • 3-D Secure
  • Tokenisation

Crypto payments

Take deposits, send payouts and exchange between stablecoins and major alternative coins across the main networks — in one flow, and in the same reporting view as your card and bank payments.

  • Deposits & payouts
  • Exchange
  • Stablecoins

White-label PSP

Everything needed to operate as a payment service provider under your own brand: merchant onboarding and KYB, MID management, pricing and fee rules, merchant portal, reconciliation and payouts.

  • Merchant portal
  • KYB
  • Payouts

Wallets & payroll

White-label wallet infrastructure — multi-currency accounts, top-ups and withdrawals, peer-to-peer transfers, card issuing integrations — plus payroll flows for teams paying staff and contractors across borders.

  • Multi-currency
  • Card issuing
  • Payroll

Anti-fraud

Risk tooling tuned to your business rather than a generic score: rule and velocity engines, device and behavioural signals, blacklists, manual review queues and chargeback workflows.

  • Rule engine
  • Device signals
  • Chargebacks

Checkout pages & widgets

Hosted payment pages and drop-in widgets styled to your brand, localised, mobile-first and A/B testable — so the last step of the funnel stops being the place where conversion leaks.

  • Hosted pages
  • Embedded widgets
  • Localisation
Advisory & operations

We advise — and we run it with you

Most payment projects do not fail on the code. They stall on provider negotiations, unit economics, reconciliation, or a structure that no bank wants to onboard. We work on that side with you — as advisors, or hands-on inside the back office.

Payment operations

From advice to hands-on operation. We can design the function, run it day to day, and hand it over when your own team is ready to take it.

  • Running the back office day to day: monitoring, reconciliation, disputes, merchant support
  • Provider and acquirer strategy — who to work with, and on what terms
  • Routing economics: interchange, scheme fees, approval-rate trade-offs
  • MID structure, onboarding and ongoing scheme compliance
  • Settlement and chargeback operations
  • Risk appetite, monitoring thresholds and fraud-loss budgeting
  • Building and coaching the in-house payments team

Legal & financial support

Structuring and documentation guidance for fintech businesses, delivered with our network of specialist counsel and finance professionals.

  • Corporate structuring and choice of jurisdiction
  • Licensing pathways and readiness assessments
  • Banking, EMI and PSP partner applications
  • Merchant, partner and processing agreements
  • AML/KYC frameworks, policies and internal procedures
  • Financial modelling, pricing and reporting setup
How we work

Four steps, no mystery

A small, senior, distributed team. You talk to the people doing the work, and you know at every point what is being built and why.

Discovery

We map your flows, volumes, markets and constraints, and agree what success looks like in numbers before anything is designed.

Architecture

A concrete target architecture, provider mix and integration plan — with scope, sequence and cost written down, not implied.

Build & launch

Iterative delivery with a working environment early, real test transactions, and a go-live plan that includes the boring parts.

Run & scale

Monitoring, approval-rate tuning, new providers and new markets — plus support for the operational team running it every day.

Why NEXT

Built by operators, not only by vendors

  • Product and operations in one team

The people writing the routing logic are the people who have argued with acquirers about approval rates. Technology decisions carry commercial context, and commercial advice is technically feasible.

  • Modular, not all-or-nothing

Take orchestration only. Or the wallet. Or the anti-fraud layer in front of your existing processor. Nothing in the stack requires you to replace what already works.

  • White-label by default

Every customer-facing surface — checkout, wallet, merchant portal — carries your brand, not ours. Your customers should never have to learn who we are.

  • Geography-agnostic

A distributed team and a provider-neutral architecture mean we are not tied to one market, one acquirer or one regulatory perimeter. We build for where you actually sell.

Careers

Work on payments, properly.

We are a distributed team, remote-first by design. Open roles are listed below — click one to see the detail. If nothing fits, an open application is always welcome.

Technical Support Specialist
First line for merchants and partners when a payment does not behave.
RemoteFull-timeSupport

You are the first person merchants and partners reach when a payment does not behave. You read the logs, reproduce the case, fix what can be fixed, and hand engineering a clean, reproducible report when it cannot.

What you will do

  • Handle incoming requests from merchants and integration partners, end to end.
  • Investigate declined, stuck and duplicated transactions using API logs, dashboards and provider consoles.
  • Support merchants through integration: API keys, webhooks, test payments, checkout setup.
  • Escalate reproducible defects to engineering with the request, response and steps already attached.
  • Monitor payment flows and provider status, and raise the alarm before merchants do.
  • Keep the knowledge base and integration documentation current as the platform changes.

What we are looking for

  • 1+ years in technical support, preferably in payments, fintech or SaaS.
  • Comfortable with REST APIs, JSON, HTTP status codes and reading logs; Postman or similar is a daily tool.
  • Methodical: you narrow a problem down instead of guessing at it.
  • Able to explain a technical thing to a non-technical person, calmly.
  • Nice to have: SQL basics, familiarity with 3-D Secure, chargebacks or PSP back offices.

What we offer

  • Fully remote, with working hours agreed around the team rather than a fixed office clock.
  • Direct access to the engineers who build the platform — no ticket black holes.
  • Real ownership of the support function as it is built from the ground up.
  • Room to grow into payment operations, risk or implementation work.
